Chemistry - Preparation of Insoluble Salts

We can prepare insoluble salts by precipitation, which is an insoluble solid formed by reactions.

Formation

1. Mix two solution that will react to form the precipitate of the salt together in a beaker.

2. Stir thoroughly with a glass rod. Precipitate of the salt will form.

3. Filter the reaction mixture to obtain the precipitate.

4. Wash the precipitate with a large amount of distilled water.

5. Dry the precipitate using filter paper or oven.
