IBT托福作文求改Always telling the truth is the most important consideration in any situations
People all like honest person.That’s a truth and nobody want to be deceived.However,in some cases,people will feel better if they don’t know the fact.So there is a term called white lies.I really disagree that people tell truth which may hurt somebody and make terrible results.
Firstly,I want to discuss about white lies,which mean lies are intended to comfort people or avoid hurting to people.White lies are told for a good result and they are not conflicted with the quality of honesty.Therefore,we』d better lie in some special circumstances.For instance,parents of little kids always tell their children that monsters will advent at night outside for the reason that they don’t want their children play outside late because it’s dangerous.And I think the tale of Santa Claus is also a white lie which can make kids happy and creative.In one word,lies won’t be dishonest in any situation.
In addition,people have another choice when they refuse lies or truth.Think about this situation,a student got a awful grade because of careless,of course he won’t like others know his occasional failure and he also won’t lie.So what he can do if classmates ask about his grade?In this common case,he』ll avoid the embarrassed topic and try to move the attention to other places.Although avoidance are not always effective,people can describe the truth dimly with neutral terms.Hence,there are more better choice than truth.
Otherwise,telling truth may lead to negative cognition..There are some particular things that is crucial and violent but still should be done by people such as wars,defending wars.It’s absurd that enemy invade citizen’s homeland but government advocate peace and no resistance since war means killing and disasters.So sometime realizing the dark side of war can make people lose courage and homeland,peace is a permanent theme though.
I think I talked enough about that telling truth is not adequate in particular situations and lies maybe represent kindness.
