One thing I am not willing to but forced to do is to learn chinese ancient poetries every night at bedtime.My teacher of Chinese literature in high school set it as a homework and she would check them in her class now and then.These poetries are hard to recite,for they contain many words and expressions that are no longer used today.However I really have learned much from these poetries,because I understand the thinking and spirit of ancients and surprise to find it is kind of interesing and worthwhile to do so.
